Stanley Steamers and many companies small and large use high tech van-mounted equipment.  This equipment is usually at least twice as strong as portable equipment.  Using this type of equipment, it is likely that more soil can be removed from your textiles than that of a dry process or of a portable cleaning unit.  The cleaning ability and efficiency however, can not be compared to that of a Vortex system used by Superior Fabric Cleaners.  (Please refer to our EQUIPMENT link).  The  equipment used properly is sufficient for many conditions. It then comes down to the attitude and the ability of the individual(s) that comes to your home.  With larger companies and franchises it becomes a little less certain that all the cleaning technicians really are concerned about you and your fabrics or the goal and intentions of their company.  When a company has a large national marketing campaign they are usually able to gain new customers even if they have dissatisfied clients.  Superior Fabric Cleaners is a small individual owned company.  We survive and strive on how you feel about our service. Rotary brush scrubbing using the right methods and cleaning agents can be a quite thorough method.  However, It is only as successful as the soil it actually removes.  This was our only method of cleaning during our first five years in service. We were able to accomplish results similar to mainstream van-mounted steam clean equipment.  This was due to using an industrial vacuum to remove as much loose soil before cleaning the carpet and using the same vacuum system to remove the loosened soils and excess moisture.  It is also imperative to use cleaning agents that leave little to no residue and dries to a crystal form. This means the crystal residue can be easily removed by routine vacuuming when it's dry.

Still there were occasions when dirt or a stain was to deep to be completely removed and therefore reappeared. And even though the brush is designed for carpet it can fray or disrupt the fibers of some carpets.  In our experience this was barely noticeable and never presented a problem. 

We must concede, however, after using dry cleaning, deep scrubbing, portable extraction units and van-mounted cleaning units, that no machine we have used or heard of compares to the cleaning ability of the patented Vortex cleaning system we now use.  The heat, water flow and pressure is able to provide enough agitation to work like a liquid brush and does not disrupt the fibers.  The temperature is hot enough to sanitize naturally.  The awesome vacuum power creates sub-surface suction.  This means it's sucking out dirt, odor, soils, stains and moisture from below the surface clear down to the padding. Dirt and odor that, frankly, is inaccessible to most equipment and machinery.

A reappearing stain is a very, very rare occasion when using the Big Truck. At last,  the deepest embedded soils and stains and the reoccurring spots that accompany them are a thing of the past!

With our Big Truck we are able to employ more heated water thus completing your job faster and flushing clean your carpeting more thoroughly than ever before.  And the great news is that it is still common for some carpets to dry in an hour or two.
